Vivian Felicetta

May 24, 1931May 6, 2019

Vivian (Aurora) Felicetta of New City, NY peacefully passed away on May 5th at the age of 87 surrounded by love. Vivian was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that was loved, is dearly missed, and will always be cherished. Gram as she liked to be called put her family above all else with all the love in her heart. She devoted her life to taking care of her family and enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, keeping a clean home, reading, listening to her favorite music and making the occasional visit to the casino where she would chase the big win and go home saying at least I enjoyed losing. Sunday dinners with her family around the table were her favorite time and it had to be pasta. From her Easter pizzarustica to a traditional fish Christmas Eve dinner, family and cooking is what made Vivian most happy. Vivian was born on May 24, 1931 to Joseph and Vincenza Aurora in Bronx, NY. She graduated from Cathedral High School and married her beloved husband Pasquale "Pat" Felicetta on April 7, 1951 at Saint Martin of Tours in the Bronx. Vivian and Pat moved to New City in 1963 and remained together until Pat's passing in 2000. Vivian is predeceased by her son Michael who passed in 1971 and survived by her son Vincent of Boca Raton FL, daughter Patrice Mayo Felicetta and husband Larry of New City and 7 grandchildren Bryan (wife Heather), Matthew, Michael, Christopher, Christina, Alexa, and Dominic and a great granddaughter Alayna. Vivian was a fighter throughout her life and that was on full display in recent years as she fought to breathe and maintain her favorite activities. She is reunited in heaven with her son and husband as well as her mother and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family will be receiving friends and family on Friday, May 10th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY. A Mass of the Christian burial will take place at 10 am on Saturday, May 11th at St. Anthony’s Church, 36 W Nyack Rd., Nanuet, NY.
