To the Smith family. I just heard about Doug’s passing and my heart goes out to you all. I have thought about him from time to time over the years as I went on with my life and wondering how his turned out. I will always remember how he made a prom very special for me. He was a good hearted soul. Rest In Peace my dear Doug

Our deepest sympathies go out to Janet and Doug's family during this very difficult time. He was a great guy, always easy to talk to and we very much enjoyed our conversations with him over the years. He was definitely civic-minded and was one of the founders of Canterbury's Old Home Day event. He will be missed.
