Clifton Paul Rivere, Sr. passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the age of 78. Mr. Rivere was a native of Paincourtville, Louisiana and a resident of Gretna, Louisiana for the past 58 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Breaux Rivere; his children, Peggy A. Rivere, John M. Rivere and Clifton Rivere, Jr.; his parents, Albert and Anastize Rivere; his brother, Roger Rivere and grandson, Craig Nicholson.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Whisenhunt and Amanda Badeaux (Sylvester); sons, Risley (Dawn), Danny (Lisa), Clinton (Holly), and Mark Rivere; his sister, Virgie Gaudet; brothers, Autry, Alfred, Russell, Willman and Youman Rivere. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters- in-law and brothers-in-law.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the evening visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 4-8:00 p.m. There will be a brief gathering the following morning at Lake Lawn Metairie from 8-9:00 a.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Church in Paincourtville, Louisiana with Mass following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Church Cemetery in Paincourtville, Louisiana.
