Valerie Blush, 88, wife of the late Elmer Curtis Blush of New Orleans, Louisiana went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2018.
Born September 30, 1930 in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Louis Charles Kaufman and Edna Irene Kaufman.
Valerie graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School; she worked at the Prytania Theater, 1st NBC and retired from Chase Bank. She was a member of Lakeview Presbyterian Church.
The most important things in life were her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her love of family and friends.
She is survived by her son Kenneth Burgess Harrison III (Darla) and daughter Valerie Lucy Harrison Anglin (Carl); 3 grandchildren, Bobby Campbell (Beth), Heather Harrison Speziale (Brad) and Caitlin Harrison; 7 great-grandchildren, Courtney Campbell, Ben Harrison, Joey Speziale, Kayley Speziale, Kara Speziale, Micah Speziale and Bradley Harrison. She is also survived by brothers Eugene Kaufman and Elkin Kaufman, sister Carolyne Kellar, cousins Rose Jen Cox Pierce and Betty Brent Cox, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Her extended family includes Gail Harrison and the late Sidney Campbell.
In addition to her husband Elmer, she was predeceased by her grandson Kevin Harrison and her siblings,
Louis Kaufman, Eva Rose Sintes, Katherine Pablovich and Edna Vignes.
Memorial service and celebration of life is Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 AM at Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 5914 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
Reception for friends and family will follow the service at the Lakeview Presbyterian Fellowship Hall.
