Trina was an awesome woman. We shared a lot of fun memories together. I wasn’t just her private duty nurse. I was her friend. We went to a Polish dance folk show together with my parents, she stated by my house and enjoyed my pool and lounge chairs. She took a nap outside with my teenage daughter and told her the “Sun makes me young”. I did her makeup for When Bertrand would take her out, hung out with another friend Barbara and chilled with Phyllis and her husband. We went a few times together to shelter island and walked around an antique car show. We went thrift shopping together, drank double shots of Dewars whiskey on the rocks. We even went dancing and she showed off her skills along with me to the youngins how to get down!! She loved my homemade chicken noodle soup apple crumble and pumpkin pie and whatever else I made. I wish I would have know she died. I would have liked to have spoken at her funeral. I even went to her brothers funeral and some charity events with her. She always worried that I didn’t have a boyfriend after my divorce from my ex husband 10 years ago. I told her I wasn’t ready and not to worry. Lol. When we were together. She was my driving force and I tried to be hers and I truly think I was. She always put on lipstick when I came in to be fancy and more ladylike. Lol because I liked and wore lipstick. She was an incredible woman. Simply amazing...

I called Trina maybe a few days after her birthday; I just remember her birthday and Lucia said she was at the hospital. Her memory was very good at that time and too bad I wasn't able to see her before the Lord took her. There are three Dee's (Hidalgo, Paris and me) and I always have to tell her my last name Her memories will always be cherished and may she rest in peace.
