Dear Alice and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. Praying for God's peace and comfort during this time of mourning. May the memories you shared bring you joy. She had such a sweet smile and sounded like a lovely person - quite reflected in you!
1 Thessalonians 4:13 We grieve but not like those without hope.

God's peace.

Sad to hear of Dorothy Jean's passing. I have such wonderful memories of her - she was always so much fun and chatty at our family reunions. So welcoming and inclusive - and made me feel like one of the big kids.
She will be remembered and missed.

I am 70 years old now and a retired nurse. When I was a nurse on the pediatric unit at St. Mary's, in the early 70's, I took care of her son, Bobby Kixmiller. I have never forgotten him and several years ago I wrote to Dr. and Mrs. Kixmiller to let them know that. I received the nicest, warmest letter from her. She made me feel better. She had lost three children by then but her letter said it was still all worthwhile . She was an extraordinary person and my sympathy to all who will miss her.

LIFE IS ETERNAL

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my
side spreads her white sails to the morning
breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is
an object of beauty and strength and I stand
and watch her until at length she hangs like a
speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky
come down to mingle with each other. Then
someone at my side says, “There, she’s gone.”

Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar
as she was when she left my side; and just as
able to bear her load of living freight to the
place of destination. Her diminished size is
in me, not her and just at the moment when
someone at my side says, “There, she’s gone”,
there are other eyes watching her coming, and
other voices ready to take up the glad shout,
“There she comes!”

I know Richard from meetings we attended. I ran in to Dorothy at our beautician's salon. Such a lovely lady. A darling smile....a happy countenance. You could see the joy and confidence of the Lord in her face. She and Richard are patriots of the highest order.

May God comfort the family and give them peace. Hugs to Richard.....A man I admire.
