While living in Connecticut, Sam sang secular and choral music with the Newtown Choral Society; F.G.H. Sextet; and South Salem Presbyterian Church, South Salem, NY. He loved people, enjoyed life and was a good person to know and have as a friend. We will miss seeing his wonderful smile and hearing that laugh of his. God bless you Sam Adams!!!
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Mary Louise Adams, formerly of Henderson, KY and his brother, Robert Livingston.
He is survived by his wife, Mae “Cookie” Adams; sisters, Leadra Adams, Tamara Anderson, Viola Jones (Clinton); brother, Barton Adams (Angel); aunt, Dorothy White; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at12:00pm on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel. Rev. Adrian Brooks and Rev. Gerald Arnold will officiate, and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9:00am until service time at the funeral home.
