Daniel Anthony De Marinis 1961 – 2014 Daniel Anthony De Marinis, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 at his home in Granada Hills, CA. Tony was born November 24, 1961 in Tucson, AZ. He moved to Granada Hills in 1979 where he settled down and soon raised his family. Tony was a hardworking and loyal Project Manager at Pinnacle Network Technologies for 20+ years. He is survived by his wife, June and their daughter Meghan; his former wife, Terry and their children, Jessica, Danny and K’Lynn; his parents, Joan and Chet; his brothers, Mike, David, Larry and Robert, sisters, Nancy and Joanie. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent De Marinis. Tony was a devoted husband, father, son and friend. He always made you feel welcome with his warm smile and engaging personality. Tony was a great story teller and always had one to share. He enjoyed hosting friends and family at his home anytime but especially the holidays when he could show off his cooking skills by roasting his signature BBQ ham and baking Christmas cookies. Tony was well loved in the community and at his parish. He inspired anyone he touched with his strength and optimism. His charming personality and persistence won him many free hotel upgrades. He cherished memories of family camping trips to Jalama Beach where he spent countless summers telling stories around the campfire, boogie boarding with the kids and relaxing on the beach. He loved to play practical jokes which always resulted in a good laugh. He enjoyed an authentic Italian sub picnic followed by a hike with his family. His favorite movie was Planes Trains and Automobiles which he could accurately recite from beginning to end. Tony was a proud father; his greatest joy was celebrating his children’s successes. His compassion and open heartedness rubbed off on everyone around him, especially his children, siblings and loved ones. He had the upmost respect and admiration for his parents and lived by the mantra, treat others as you would like to be treated. Tony left a lasting impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to have met him and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
