Pauline Stecura

Pauline Stecura, a devoted wife, mother, loving grandmother and cherished friend passed away peacefully on December 6th at the age of 86. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Elizabeth, son-in-law, Patrick, granddaughter, Kelsey and grandson, Samuel, and all who knew her.

Pauline was born on October 28, 1937, in Astoria, NY, where she lived with her parents, Irene and Gregory Gounaris and her two brothers, John and Lou. At age 19, Pauline met her husband Robert, and they were married on May 4, 1958. They lived in Queens for 12 years and started their family. They moved to Greenwich, CT, to raise their daughter and they stayed for 30 years. Raising Liz and being Bob’s devoted wife defined Pauline. She gave everything she had to make their home a loving, warm place to live. When Liz and her husband Pat moved to Los Angeles, Pauline and Bob retired to California to be closer to them.

While living in California, Pauline enjoyed going for walks on the beach with Bob, caring for her cats and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Pauline lived a life full of love, laughter, and compassion. She was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was a constant source of strength and support, always there to lend a listening ear or offer words of encouragement.

Pauline was a dedicated homemaker. She took great pride in creating a warm and welcoming home for her friends and family. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. She always ensured her home was filled with love and joy.

Pauline will be remembered for her infectious smile, her unwavering optimism, and her genuine love for life. She was a truly remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in their hearts forever.
