Doris Rome St. Pierre passed away on January 17, 2019 at the age of 96. She was the beloved wife of the late Jean B. St. Pierre. Caring mother of Jean B. St. Pierre, Jr. (Tessa), Madeline Hebert (C.J.), Rene J. St. Pierre and Emile St. Pierre. Compassionate grandmother of Jolie, Jean III, Henri, Brett, Sean, Andre, Danielle, Jaubert and Monique and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Irene Gaudet Rome and Roger Rome and her siblings, Roger Rome, Earl Rome, Bertha Lousteau and May Stewart.
Doris majored in music at Loyola University, where she was classically trained. She was one of the most loving and thoughtful mothers. She enjoyed sewing, reading, playing bridge with friends and most importantly spending time with family. As many would say, she was always a pleasure to be around. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers and staff of both Beau Provence and Passages Hospice for all of their compassion and care during this time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM.
