Hello, I didn't know Ms. Ruth, but Rebecca has told me about how wonderful and caring she was. I know she meant a lot to Rebecca and played a very special role in her life when she was away at college. Grandmothers are special angels that take care of us whether they are on Earth or in Heaven. May Ms. Ruth's memory live on through her children and grandchildren.

Sincerely,
Jamie Salem ( Orange Park, Fl)

To the Matherne Family,
Your mom Ruth was my mother's best friend. They were friends when they lived in Good Hope. It's where we built a snowman in the yard. Her name was Mary Pfeifer (Bourgeois). She moved to Oak Street and used to go visit your mom until she had a hard time getting around. May your family be comforted knowing that your mom is now with your dad and the baby. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy.

Visiting the Matherne household was alway a very special part of our frequent visits to Good Hope. Ruth and Buddy made us feel very welcome and part of the clan. I remember their home as a joyous place filled with love and most especially Ruth's beautiful spirit throughout it all. My deepest condolences to you all.
