Oscar Dale Lane

Oscar Dale Lane, 87, passed from this life at his home in Norman, Oklahoma.

Oscar was born, raised and lived most of his life in Norman. He left for a time to serve his country in the Korean War with The United States Army.

Upon his return, he began his career as an aircraft electrician with Tinker AFB, where he would work for over 40 years before retiring. After retirement, Oscar enjoyed working around the house, tinkering in his garage and watching football or cowboy movies.

Oscar was a kind, tenderhearted, quiet, committed husband and father. Family was his heart’s treasure. Everyone he encountered thought he was the sweetest man.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Florene (Bettes) Lane, his parents, Oslin and Mamie Lane, his brother, James Lane, and his sister, Dorothy French.

Left to cherish his precious memory are his children: Alan Dale Lane, Kent Brady Lane and his wife Heather Lane, and Anita Marie Lane, and his grandchildren: Zachary Lane, Samantha Lane, and Sabrina Lane.

Graveside Service will be Tuesday, 10/20/2020 2:00PM at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman.
