Beverly Hicks

Ms. Beverly Joy Hicks passed away on October 20, 2016, after a long term illness. Ms Hicks’, the daughter of the late Annie Elizabeth Smith and William Floyd Fryar, was born October 1st, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina. She resided in Summerville, SC and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to Elvis, traveling, site-seeing and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving companion of 19 years, Robert “Toe Joe” Page; son, Jerry Lee Hicks, Jr. (Lorrie), of Knightsville SC; and sister, Linda Fike (Harold) of Parma, Ohio. Beverly has fifteen grandchildren, Brandon, Kaylee and Kassidy Hicks; Mary Ann Schrimer Anderson and Brandy Porter; Trey Bowen; Chase, Daniel and Lani Page, Lauren Dean and Natalie Page; Todd and Trinity Page; Richard Markus and Missy Wilson; and three great grandchildren, Cloey Anderson, Caleb and Isabella Fish. Beverly was preceded in death by her son William Charles “Sonny” Hicks; brother, William Floyd “Bubby” Fryar. She was a true blessing here on earth and had a heart of gold. She was an inspiration to every life that she touched. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 24th, from 11am-1pm at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
