Carmela Therese Trimarco

Carmela (Millie) Trimarco (nee Giaconia) passed away on December 8,2017 in Cape Coral, Florida at the age of 88. Carmie was born in Painesville, Ohio in 1929. She graduated from Harvey High School and joined the workforce in a myriad of roles gaining business experience which culminated in her ownership, along with her husband, of a Convenient Food Store in Concord Township, Ohio. Carmie and her husband, Joe, ran the business for 20 years before retiring and relocating to North Ft. Myers, Florida where they resided until 2006. In 2006, Carmie and Joe moved to Orlando, Florida, where they were active volunteers at the University of Central Florida. In 2013, they returned to North Ft. Myers to live. Carmie was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and was a devout Catholic all of her life. Her greatest joy was her family. Carmie is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Joseph; her daughters, Mary Ann (Meg Deluca) Trimarco, Therese (Kerrye Glass) Higgins; grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Michael, and Katherine Higgins and Julia Deluca. Survivors also include her sisters, Mary (Richard) Mills, Rosie Melnyk, and brother, Phillip (Barbara) Giaconia, and many beloved nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, December 20,2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church in North Ft. Myers, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hope Hospice House of Cape Coral, Florida.
