Barbara Sue Williams

Mrs. Barbara Sue Williams, age 86, of Coker passed away May 5, 2020, at her residence. Mrs. Williams worked for 27 years as a nurse and was one of the first nurses to work at Northport Medical center when it opened. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved her family dearly.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John and Daisy Knight; husband, Robert L. Williams; Brothers, Rudolph Knight and Johnny Knight. To cherish her memory, Mrs. Williams is survived by her two sons, Robert David Williams (Denise) and Gary Williams (Carla); her daughter, Pamela Sue McCroskey; sister, Charlotte Johnson (Junior), grandchildren, Christy Smith (Tony), Shelly Ogle (Wayne), Summer Williams (Eli), Aprille Free (Jeff), Jonathan Williams (Morgan), Daphne Alford (Mickey), Shane McCroskey and Eric McCroskey (Chasidy); 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 8, 2020 from the chapel of Sunset Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Rev. David Howell officiating.
