

COKER – Faustine Marie Bresnahan, age 83, died April 20, 2017 at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 with Charles Herron and Woody Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Garden of the Cross with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her son, Roger Bresnahan; her parents; sister, Ernestine Windle and brother, E. P. Price. Survivors include T.O. Bresnahan of Coker, Ala.; daughter, Linda Holcomb (Gene) of Coker, Ala.; daughter-in-law, Sheila Bresnahan of Coker, Ala.; sister, Jean Hydrick of Fosters, Ala.; brother, Jack Price (Laverne) of Ethelsville, Ala.; grandchildren, Trent Bresnahan, Nick Bresnahan (Lauren), Sarah Bresnahan, Anna McKinney (Adam) and Rusell Holcomb. Faustine was born February 13, 1931 in Pickens County, Ala. to the late Emmitt and Mary Edna Hollinger Price. She was a member of Coker United Methodist Church and well known for her kindness, sweet spirit, and hospitality. She loved to cook fried apple pies which were well known in the Coker community.Faustine often kept us entertained with her stories, wittiness and frank comments. She was full of life and joy and loved to share it with others. She was a devoted wife, mother and loving Nanny/Mawmaw to her grandchildren. While she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing she is at rest in the presence of Jesus.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of West Alabama.
