My family moved to Oakdale in 1965. Our house was behind the Bliven’s. Mrs Bliven was the first neighbor to welcome us. She took us to her house and introduced us to Gary and Lorianne and the Douglas family. What a wonderful lady and family. Spent many hours at her house and have many fond memories. Mr Bliven was a great guy also. Painted my 1960 VW and 1967 Cameo. The Bliven family are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the many fond memories.

To Mrs.s Bliven’s Family, I have many fond memories of your mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother. I grew up on Main St. we’re she lived on the second floor in the house next door with Mr Bliven, Gary and Loriann. On the third floor were her parents Mr and Mrs Dessert. My friend Donna and I used to love to go over and play with Gary and Loriann who were abut 5 and 7 years younger than us, but we thought they were so cute. Mrs Bliven was always so pleasant and welcoming. A wonderful parent and neighbor. I hope you have many pleasant memories. And I am sorry for your loss. I was especially sad to hear that Gary and Loriann preceded her in death. Something a parent never wants. They were both so sweet. My condolences, Kathy DeAngelis

As Jennifer and Jeremy’s aunt, I have been with Elaine at many family functions over the years. She always welcomed me and my family warmly. We shared Christmas cards over all these years. The most touching thing for me was to watch her love her family, always, without fail, no matter the cause. Jennifer touches a special part of my heart, and since Jennifer was so close to her Memere, Elaine touched my heart as well. Elaine, my prayer is that you are with John, Lori, and Gary and that you all are having a marvelous celebration with our Father in heaven!

To “Mrs. Bliven”’s Family. I want to express my sympathy and for Mr. Bliven, Gary & Lori. I’m sorry that I didn’t know that they all had passed. I grew up one house away from the Bliven & Dessert families. My best friend, Kathleen, who lived next door & I are a few years older than Gary & Lori but we all spent time together. We were just talking about buying treats from Mr. Dessert’s truck. Our memories of all of them are some of our greatest treasures. If you ever want to know more, please feel free to email me. I’m sorry that I can’t be at the Mass on Monday. I am a member of Our Lady of Perpetual , part of the Devine Mercy Community.
