Lawrence Wayne Bajek

November 23, 1981October 31, 2018

UNCASVILLE – Lawrence W. Bajek, 36, died unexpectedly at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.

He was born in New London on November 23, 1981 to John and Brenda (Carroll) Bajek Jr. He was predeceased by his step-father, Kevin McDonald, who raised him as his son, from the age of 14.

Lawrence graduated from Norwich High School and soon became a district manager for Dunkin Donuts. He worked for many years at Dunkin Donuts Waterford. He left his position at Dunkin Donuts so that he could spend more quality time with his daughter, Nicole. He took a position at Ledyard Village Market in the meat room and studied to be a butcher, remaining in that position until his passing.

Lawrence enjoyed golfing and spending time being silly with his daughter. He enjoyed comedy shows, and spending time with his friends and family. Lawrence enjoyed cooking and creating unique meals in the kitchen. He had exceptional culinary talent and loved having time to be creative.

Lawrence is survived by his maternal grandmother, Joan Theroux, his mother Brenda McDonald, his beloved daughter Nicole Lincoln, brothers; Joshua Bajek and Kevin McDonald, sisters; Stephanie Robitaille and Adanna-Lee Robitaille, his nephew, Kasimier, and many cousins. He oldest brother, Andrew, and partner in crime, passed away seven years ago to prepare the way for his little brother. We are sure he was there to greet him and take him home. He was also a very important part of his blended family, Holly Lincoln (mother of his daughter), her husband, Elijah Kaeser, and their son, Ryker. Ryker looked at Lawrence as another father, and Lawrence loved Ryker as his own.

Lawrence did not like wakes and funerals and was quite vocal about his dislike. We will be honoring his dislike of these things by holding a Celebration of his Life instead, so people can celebrate him and share stories and memories of him. The Celebration will be held at the Colonial Woods Clubhouse, 5 Colonial Road, Plainfield, CT on Wednesday, November 7, from 6p – 8p. Burial services will be private and scheduled at the convenience of the family.

Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT is entrusted with these arrangements.

Lawrence and I worked together at Dunkin for well over a decade. His dry humor, wit and honesty was always appreciated by me. I will always carry special and fun memories of him with me everyday. His spirit lives on. To the family I send my prayers and condolences in this time of sadness.

To Lawrence’s family. I cannot tell you how much I will miss him. I usually stopped at the store at least once a day on my way home from work. No matter what kind of mood you went In with He always greeted everybody with a smile. Always a joke. Such an absolutely great Guy, with an absolutely wonderful personality.
