Mike was very knowledgeable with his positions. I worked with him in different roles indirectly. He was my go to guy if i had any questions on the different product lines. I will miss some of our early morning conversations that we had at the new engineering building. My prayer and thoughts go to his family. @))~>~~~

Ghattas Family,
As with many of the people posting their condolences, I also worked with Mike. As a person coming from outside PW, Mike made me feel welcome and assisted me in my transition to a new job. Our friendship lasted long after I left the East Hartford facility and we always took time to catch up personally and professionally. Mike was a gentleman in ever aspect of the word and I feel honored to call him my friend.
Condolences to the Ghattas family,

Dear Marianne, kids and family ...
Sending deepest sympathy to you all . Thank you for sharing your husband and father with us who became good friends with Mike inside and outside of work . I considered Mike a very good friend - as many who knew him did also .... I want you to know when ever I talked with Mike - you folks were always in his conversation ... My wife said this , my son, my daughter said that - Mike loved you all very very much and told wonderful stories of his family , he would smile that huge smile every time !!!
Deepest sympathy and thank you again for sharing Mike with us ... Scott Gilmore

I worked with Mike for years in the Engine Center. I remember when he was working on getting his PhD. Once he got it I started calling him Dr. Ghattas. Mike was so jovial, kind and helpful. I will always remember his smile.

My sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the Ghattas family. Mike will truly be missed.
I've had the opportunity to work with Mike as he spooled up to lead the INDE Program as quality manger. He was always enthusiastic to jump right in and get things done the right way. I appreciated his insight and expertise. I really enjoyed working with him, and will miss his jolly laughs over our zoom calls.

Dear Marianne,
Always keep Mike in the present. His smile and love for everyone are as big as life itself.
It was such a delight to have your family over to a party on our deck in Colchester. I still cherish the crystal pyramid set which you brought as a gift. And our Christmas bowling parties in East Hampton with you, Mike, and the kids were such fun.
My fondest memory of Mike happened one "Bring Your Child to Work Day" at Pratt. I hid nearby and sent my 15-year old son, Mikey, who Mike had never met, into Mike's office. He marched straight in, held out his hand, and said, "Hey, Mike. It's great to see you again! It's been a while." Totally against Mike's nature, it was great to see him at a loss for words! I'll miss his hearty laugh.
Our family's sincere condolences to you and yours.

My condolences to Marianne and his two children on Mike's passing. It seems like only recently that he was planning his wedding in Egypt. Then watching his kids grow up. Mike liked his weekly luncheon meetings for pho with our group. I will never forget the dinner date we had in Charleston, SC with his young family. May he rest in peace.

Dear Ghattas Family,
It is with a heavy heart I write this. Mike was such a good friend and associate of mine at Pratt & Whitney. His knowledge of Quality was an unbelievable asset to our team here. But it was his friendliness and professionalism that will stand out. We will sorely miss Mike as he always provided a smile and was willing to talk with you when you needed a friend.
As he crossed the bridge from this world to his eternal home, may God bless him and you always.
Sincerely,
Peter E. Teti & Family, Torrington, CT

Mike was a great co-worker and a great friend. He would always take the time to listen to others, which I felt was one of his greatest attributes. I will miss the laughs we shared, the coffee breaks, his voice, his calming demeanor and his guidance. He was always very proud of his family and grateful for all the good things in life. My heart goes out to his family during this difficult and emotional time.
