Born on November 13, 1939, in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Dominic Cocco and Lucy M. (Sullo) Cocco. Carol was raised and educated in Waltham and resided in Watertown briefly before moving to Newton, where she resided for 34 years. In 1999, she moved to Norwood and has been a resident ever since. The family enjoyed spending many summers at their home in Centerville, Craigville Beach, on Cape Cod.
A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1956, Carol furthered her education at Burdett College in Boston. She was employed as a Paralegal early in her career, then assisted her husband in the family business "C&D Contracting". After years in the family business, she became a Teacher's aide for Newton Public Schools and was instrumental in the development of their bi-lingual educational program. In 1998, she retired after 25 years of dedicated service to the city and children of Newton. Throughout these years, she had various bookkeeping responsibilities and was especially proud of her work with the progressive all women’s team at “760 Associates”.
After retirement, Carol was active as a poll worker for the Town of Norwood and devoted her time to others helping at the Norwood Senior Center. She volunteered her time and energy, and participated in everything and anything she could with regard to the Senior Center. She was a social butterfly around others. Carol enjoyed Yoga, line dancing, tap dancing, reading, and playing games, especially "Mahjong". She loved bowling and had been involved in numerous leagues. She spent time traveling with family and friends and loved her occasional trips to the casino and playing the slot machines.
Family was always the most important aspect of her life. She treasured the moments spent with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Domenic Quintiliani, in 2013.
Carol is survived by her devoted and loving children: Ronald Quintiliani and his wife Susan of Mansfield, David Quintiliani and his partner Wendy Spina of Canton, Domenic Quintiliani Jr. and his wife Krista of Avon, and Melissa Holm and her husband Erik of Medfield; her cherished grandchildren: Brianna, Adrianna, Nicole, Alicia, Madelyn, Isabella, Tyler, Kaitlin, Alex, Benjamin and Hallie; her aunt Linda Rodrigues; and her special friend Norm Longval.
