Ejler Conrad Rask
August 1, 1928 – April 29, 2019
Ejler Conrad Rask, age 90, died on Monday, April 29that his home in West Chicago. He was the widower of Lorraine Rask. They shared nearly 41 years of marriage together. Born on August 1st, 1928 in Elmhurst, IL. he was the son of Ejler & Edith Rask. Upon completion of high school, Conrad joined the United States Air Force and served 4 years. He was later employed at Jan Electric and worked as an electrician for several years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 52 years. He also enjoyed being a member of the Freemasons, specifically, Glen Ellyn Lodge No. 950, where he served over 50 years of dedication as a Master Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine and two sons, Scott & Carey Rask. He leaves behind his beloved family and friends. Conrad’s joyful spirit, and zest for life was contagious and uplifting. Those he touched in life will forever be grateful for his love and imprint he has left on their hearts. He loved his family and made many very dear friends that became family. “There are friends, there is family, and then there are friends that become family”. He will be greatly missed. Memorial Services to celebrate Conrad’s beautiful life will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home 17W201 Roosevelt Rd., Oakbrook Terrace on Saturday, May 4th. Viewing and visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:30am with the service immediately following. Entombment will take place in the Chapel Hill Gardens West Mausoleum.
