Gary was one of the warmest, nicest people we've ever known. Although we were just customers, he always felt like a great soul - and it was always a genuine pleasure to speak to him. Our deepest condolences to his wife and family. There's not a lot of people that just exhibit such great humanity.

Dear Debbie,
There are no words to console someone who has suffered the loss of a beloved spouse and best friend. I suffer the same fear every day, because there really are no guarantees. Kathi and I are so sorry for your loss of your beloved Gary. We were in Boston visiting Courtney and her family from Saturday through yesterday. When I opened my emails it was so saddening for me. My memories of Gary were of a guy who was so polite, articulate and well spoken. He knew so many people and had awesome stories to accompany them. He could assuage the anxiety of my wife when she would say to him, "I should have married an exterminator" when critters would dare enter our home.
I was 7 years old when the Kaplan's were building the home you in which you now reside. We know how fastidious Lou & his wife were about maintaining their (your) home. We have heard Lou say that extraordinary care of the place was in the sales contract. Lou didn't expect that Gary would exceed Lou's expectations, and exceed them he did. His lawn is the envy of the neighborhood.
Lou would not be happy if he knew that this 7 year old used to drag his tractor up the the stairs while the home was under construction and ride it around the living room, dining room and kitchen and then down the stairs and out the front door.
I will stop in and visit soon.
Our most sincere condolences on your loss.

Debbie,

Just found out today and so sad to hear as I was hoping for the best since I last talked to Gary about a month ago. I always enjoyed chatting with him as I randomly caught him standing outside your house before or after he went to work over the past 35 years.
So sorry for your loss and condolences to your family.
