Harold Greenspan

Harold Greenspan, 96, of Long Branch, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 18. He was born in Philadelphia, PA.

Mr. Greenspan served in The U.S. Army during World War 2 in the Pacific Theatre. He was wounded in action at Leyte in 1944 and at Okinawa in 1945, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster. He was the Owner and President of Kleen-Rite Corporation, a commercial cleaning service based in Avon, founded in 1957 with his brother Joseph. He was an avid golfer and was a long time member of Hollywood Golf Club.

Mr. Greenspan is predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Reba, and his grandsons Jacob and Adam. He is survived by his two sons: Dr Joel Greenspan and his wife June, of Armonk NY and Robert Greenspan and his wife Barbara, of Neptune NJ; his grandchildren - Sasha, Molly and Brett; and his great-grandchildren - Evan, Macie, Lily and Vera.

A graveside funeral will be held for Harold at 11:30am on Sunday, February 21 at Temple Beth El Cemetery in Neptune City.
