Lincoln A. Seitzman of Ocean, N.J. and formerly of West Long Branch, N.J., passed away at 1:05 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn on August 6, 1923 to parents Esther and Louis Seitzman, who must have known how special he would become when they named that little baby Lincoln.
Lincoln grew up in Long Branch, but left N.J. to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate N.Y, which is where he met his future wife, Marion. After graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree, he had to put his plans on hold to join the Army Air Corp in fighting WWII. When the war ended, he and Marion married and raised their family in West Long Branch.
A nationally reknown wood artist, Lincoln was in his bliss with a lathe at his hand.
Lincoln and Marion celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary one month ago.
Those surviving, besides his wife, are his sister Alice, sons Fredric (Tracy) and Charles (Susan) and daughter Janet (John). A third son Peter predeceased. Also surviving are 5 Grandchildren , 5 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 14th from 5 to 8 PM and on Wednesday the 15th from 2 to 5 PM at the Seitzman home.
