Fayrene A. Erickson

Fayrene A. Erickson, 76, passed away peacefully at her Oceanside home on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. She had been declining in health for the past few years and was cared for by her devoted, caring husband of 38 years Bruce Erickson.
Fayrene (Pelini- her Hawaiian name) was born September 3rd, 1942, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was the only child of Clarence and Annie Alameida. She grew up on the Island of Oahu and settled in California in 1972. She resided in the Vista and Oceanside areas for the rest of her life.
Fayrene had a servant’s heart shown by her many years of dedicated service to her local community. She was active in the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, served as an Ambassador for the City of Oceanside, volunteered with the Oceanside Civitan Club, volunteered at the Oceanside Welcome Center and also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society.
She was the President of Oceanside Machine and Tool for over 20 years.
Fayrene is survived by her husband Bruce Erickson (Barry Erickson (Diane)) three sons Robert Butt, Clarence Butt (Lisa), Patrick Butt (Bobi) and 8 grandchildren: Kevin Rohrenbach, Ashlee Butt, Rachel Rohrenbach, Johnathan Butt, Nickolas Butt, McKenzie Butt, Kyra White, Mother of Kristopher Butt and Sean Butt.
Fayrene was a loving spouse and mother, a strong independent woman who was generous with her time and resources. A loyal friend to all. She was very family focused. She loved her children however held a special place in her heart for her Grandchildren. She will be missed.
A Private family graveside service will be held Tuesday May 14th at Eternal Hills Cemetery & Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside CA 92054. In Lieu of Flowers please donate to Oceanside Civitan Club P.O.Box 723 Oceanside, CA 92049-0723

We are so sorry for your loss. Many prayers are being lifted for the entire family. Fayrene was kind and fun to be around. She knew how to have a good time. Will always remember our visits at family get togethers and at Red Hat events. She will be missed by many. Love and hugs. Lynn
