Jimmy Dean Alsip, age 67, of Odessa, Texas passed away at Medical Center Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2018. Jimmy was born to Herbert and Lena Alsip on May 12, 1951 in Yale, Oklahoma. Jimmy made knives and collected tractors. Jimmy retired as a mechanic after many years.
Jimmy is survived by; daughter Tina Porter and husband Gary; daughter Jennie Duren and Robert Pratt; and daughter Jackie Holmquist and husband Donnie; sister Cherry Runnels; grandchildren Lane Woods, Mason Woods, Justyn Holmquist, Christine Holmquist, Allison Pratt, Riley Porter and Bailey Porter.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and wife Christine Alsip.
A visitation for Jimmy will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Graveside service will take place following the funeral service at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
