Dave and family , I remember when I was able to ride my bike around the block and Nelly would be out in the flower gardens and would say a simple hello or stop to talk a little . My greatest memory is when I was a pregnant teen and she offered to have me a ride to and from school thanks for being my taxi Mike . Then after a visit to my Dads on day my two sons an I were ran of the road right in front of the Stout barn. Back then there were fuel tanks in the front , Nelly came over made sure we got out okay lead us back to the porch and kept everyone calm. I thank God she was so kind and caring to me . I will miss her .

Having grown up next door to the Stouts, our families have had a long history of sharing good times and sad times for three generations. It's good to have memories of the fun times to sustain us during sad times. I just told my husband the story of Dave and Nelly's wedding which almost didn't happen because they found out that Nelly's name was misspelled on it...the officials got everything right except the ERP, which they spelled EARP. Hopefully, your memories of the good times will sustain you through this sad time. I am sorry we cannot be there as we won't be home for another 3 weeks. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
