A Funeral Mass for Wilma E. Tebo, age 83 of Ogdensburg will be held at 10:00am on Thursday (Aug 30, 2018) at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan & Rev. F. James Shurtleff concelebrating. Entombment will follow the mass at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Tebo passed away on Sunday evening (Aug 26, 2018) at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are her three sons Donald Tebo & his wife Janice of Ogdensburg, Michael Tebo & his wife Mary Lou of Liverpool and John Tebo & his wife Renee of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Matthew Tebo, Michelle Schulz & her husband Richard, Trisha Tebo, Jay Tebo, Ian Tebo, Jonica Tebo, Seth Tebo; great-grandchildren McKenna Schulz, Natalie Schulz, Connor Schulz & Aubrey Hornick; a brother-in-law Donald Trimm of Ogdensburg and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Wilma was predeceased by her husband John in 2009; three brothers Bernard, Chuck & Edward Chateau and two sisters Evelyn Trimm and Velma LaSavage.
She was born on February 5, 1935 in Lisbon NY, a daughter of the late Ralph & Hazel (Spears) Chateau. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and later married John R. Tebo on October 16, 1954. During her career she worked for Carbino’s Jewelers for 25 years, Hackett’s Hardward for 10 years and the Gold & Silver outlet. She retired in 2000, but remained dedicated to her volunteer work. She was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Notre Dame Alter & Rosary Society.
She enjoyed knitting, bowling on the women’s league, crocheting, playing scrabble, traveling to visit her sister in Pennsylvania, winters in Florida and spending time with her family.
