Bill (Billie) James Malcom, born September 11, 1930 to Floyd James Malcom and Stella Mae (Rich) Malcom, he went to be with our Lord and fellow carpenter on March 26, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father Floyd Malcom, his mother Stella Malcom, two sisters Yuanita Malcom and Helen Malcom, and great grandson Gabriel Prewitt. He is survived by his wife Loretta (Garrett) Malcom of Oklahoma City, daughter Linda (Malcom) Spires of Oklahoma City, son Byron Malcom of Edmond, daughter in law Kim Malcom, six grandsons, 2 great grandsons, and one great granddaughter, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He grew up learning to be a hard worker and carpenter at a young age from his father, a carpenter and builder in Cushing Oklahoma. During the Korean War, he enlisted in the Navy and served on a ship, where during his service on the ship they were called to perform a rescue mission far at sea and went down in history as performing the longest tow. After his Naval service had ended, he returned to Cushing where he resumed his work with his father, building houses, businesses, custom cabinets and custom trim work. He met the love of his life Loretta Garrett in 1954 and they married on December 10, 1954 in Cushing where they lived until moving to Oklahoma City in 1960. He eventually went into a partnership with Roy (Sonny) Kuykendall having a very successful general contracting business. He was a very Godly man who loved his Lord deeply and most recently attended Capitol Hill Assembly of God on the south side of Oklahoma City as much as possible while caring for the love of his life, Loretta. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 10am, on March 31, 2014 at Capitol Hill Assembly of God, 2400 SW 74th, His burial will be at, Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7801 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
