Doyce Herbert Dixon entered into eternity on September 20, 2022. He was born October 24, 1952 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Gillis Danford and Mildred Dorothy (Adams) Dixon. Doyce would leave Ponca City for Oklahoma City in 1982, though he would return to Ponca City for a while, he ultimately settled in Oklahoma City.
On April 22, 1978, Doyce would marry Diane Grassman. The couple would raise two beautiful daughters, Melissa and Stephanie. While they would eventually divorce in 2009, the pair would maintain a good friendship through the rest of Doyce’s days.
He was a hardworking man who wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. Doyce prided himself on his skills as a mechanic, working on cars most of his life and even earning an ACE Award for his work at Fred Jones. If you had a problem, you went to Doyce, and he would do everything he could to help. When he wasn’t working on cars, Doyce could be found hanging out at the lake with his friends and family, enjoying some Busch beer and classic rock music.
Doyce is preceded in death by his brother Jerry Wade Dixon.
He is survived by his daughters Melissa Dixon-Van Duyne, husband Chris, of Oklahoma City, and Stephanie Dixon, wife Jennifer, of Newcastle; his grandchildren Dylan Todd and Keaton Smith; and his beloved cat Shadow.
