Jessie was born September 20, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas to Robert E. Lee and Sallie (Fullerton) Hughes. She was a funny, loving, and spunky woman. Jessie was also known for being very strong-willed. She enjoyed crocheting and ceramics in her younger years. Jessie loved to dance, especially to country western music. She worked as a clerk for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for many years. Jessie was also a longtime member of Crutcho Baptist Church. When she was no longer able to attend, she would watch church on TV instead. Jessie adored her family more than anything and was an excellent provider for them.
Jessie is survived by her daughter, Sharrazone Coy and husband Joe; son, David and wife Sandra Keehn; grandchildren, Steven Griffee, Michelle Griffee, Andrew Keehn, T.J. Hardin; great-granddaughter, Brittany Winchell; two great-great grandchildren; niece, Marilyn Hutchison; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other family members who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sallie; daughter, Darla K. Hardin; three brothers; and three sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00P.M., Friday, October 25, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel, 2301 E. Indian Hills Rd., Norman, Oklahoma 73071. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
