Greenbush - Mark Frederick Buchanan died unexpectedly on November 13, 2019 in his home. He was born on August 14, 1959 in Bangor, Maine. He loved people, animals, music, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, farming, and logging. His favorite place was at his family camp at West Lake. He attended Lewis S. Libby school in Milford, Maine and graduated from Old Town High School in 1977. Anyone who knew Mark, knew he had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off his back, a place to stay or a home cooked meal. He helped many people and animals over the years and was loved by many.
Mark had several jobs over the years but his favorite was as a construction supervisor for H.E. Sargent and Thornton Construction.
He is survived by his parents, Harry and Patricia Buchanan, stepdaughter Roxanne Vining and husband Matthew and children Emma and Spencer, Sisters Kristi Buchanan and fiancé Shaun Yazbek, Karel and Richard DePaola, their children Jason, Lindsey, Cameron and Bailey, and his dogs Helga and Jake, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his partner of many years, Diane Knight, his grandparents, Frederick and Avis Oberg and Frank and Elta Buchanan.
Family and friends will gather for a celebration of life at a date to be announced.
