Faye M. Walker

Faye M. Walker, 83, of Independence, MS passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 20, 2021 surrounded by her husband, children and sister. She proudly served her country as an Army officer's wife for four decades. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served faithfully. She is survived by her husband, Brigadier General (Ret.) George S. Walker of Independence, MS; son, George S. Walker, Jr. (Lisa) of Flower Mound, TX; daughter, Ashley W. Lewis (Michael) of Corinth, TX; grandchildren Melanie, Michael and Walker. She is also survived by her sisters Mary K Clements of Collierville, TN, Jeanie White (Darrell) of Collierville, TN and Marsha Jones of Bartlett, TN, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m.
