Linda Patton Wolf, 76, of Southaven, MS succumbed to a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on September 27, 2023. Linda was born to Manda Kerley Patton and Alfred Louis Patton in Nashville, TN on January 23, 1947. Linda was raised in East Nashville with her sister, Norma Patton Cash (sons Cliff & Dave Cash) and brother, John Patton (son Cody Patton). She attended Hume-Fogg High School where she met the love or her life and husband of 59 years, Sherrill T. Wolf.
Linda and Sherrill moved to Southaven, MS in 1972 and raised three children, Joe Wolf (Kristy), Lynn Wolf Wood and Andy Wolf (Kelly). Linda delighted in her 8 grandchildren: Sarah Kate and Samuel Wolf of Franklin, TN; Ethan, Quinton and Cora Wood of West Lafayette, IN and Kayla, Avery and Layne Wolf of Southaven, MS. Linda retired from Fleming Foods in 2000 after a long career in the wholesale food business. Linda was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and later Boulevard Baptist Church.
Linda was a beautiful person inside and out. She was not only a pillar of strength to her family and friends but inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda’s commitment to helping others was a shining example of the power of kindness and the difference that one person can make in the world. Linda truly never met a stranger.
A celebration of Linda’s life will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Visitation with the family will be 12:00-2:00pm at Boulevard Baptist Church on Church Road in Southaven, MS. A memorial service will follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be immediately following at Desoto Memorial Gardens on Star Landing Road in Southaven, MS.
Linda will be deeply missed but never forgotten as her legacy of compassion and selflessness will continue to inspire her friends and family to make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time.
