I met Julie for the first time in 2016 while working on the Burke High School project for OPS and she had very high standards for me working on the drawings. She was a very gentle and kind structural leader on the project. As the CEO for a sub-designer company for ShotgunHaus Designers with KPE I can truly live up to no less than excellence because of the working relationship Julie and I had. I am sorry for 'our' loss. She is dearly missed.

Frances, Marty and Pam,
I can still see Julie coming up Madalyn Road in her little car, completely filled with a large black dog named Splash, anxious to see the girls!
Dave and I are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Although I never got to know Julie well, her mother and I hold a long time friendship.
Julie always had a smile for everyone around her and a deep love for her family.
I grieve her passing and pray for peace and comfort for Frances and Marty and family.
"May knowing I share your grief make it a bit easier to bear."

We at KPE greatly miss Julie and her kind but ornery spirit. Not only was she a major talent in the architectural design industry, but these qualities Julie possessed served her so well on the construction job site. I only knew Julie for a little more than a year, but in that short time I observed her masterful servant-leadership mindset to set up win-win scenarios. In the design and construction industries, this unique quality allowed Julie to find the middle ground for collaboration between the designers and the constructors which always kept the project moving forward to serve the clients' needs. Julie was VERY good at this and KPE, our contractor friends and all of our clients are suffering this major loss. On a lighter note, my daughter who worked last summer for us and got to know Julie shared some typical Julie bits with me. When ordering her food and they asked for her name she would tell them it was Sandy, Sandy Castle. Anything to put a smile on a stranger's face...we could use more Julies in the world but will miss ours the most. Love and miss you Julie!
