She was born November 4, 1958 in Delhi the daughter of Tedd P. and Eleanor (Kirk) Clapper.
For many years, Shirley worked in the Healthcare field working at several local hospitals and Nursing homes until she became ill.
She enjoyed arts and crafts especially, diamond art and sewing and loved shopping. Shirley was an avid NY Yankees fan. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a fan. However, what was most important to Shirley was the time shared with her family.
Shirley is survived by her mother, Eleanor and Clyde Robinson; two daughters, Catina and Michael Hall, Maryland and Misty Cintron, Otego; former husband, Terry Clapper; four grandchildren, Kiana Clapper, Justina and Cameron Cintron and Aubrey Hall; two great grandchildren, Layleigh and Nevaeh; two brothers, Tedd Clapper and Gerald Clapper both of Hudson; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by daughter, Tammy Sue Clapper; father, Tedd Clapper; step father, David Monroe; and sister-in-law, Barbara Clapper.
A service to celebrate the life of Shirley A. Clapper will be held on Saturday at 11:30 AM in the Bookhout
Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta, NY with the Rev. Stephen D. Fournier, officiating.
The family will be receive guests at the Bookhout Funeral Home from 11 am until the time of the service.
