Richard E. Scheinost He was born August 28, 1936 and went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2014. Richard was born in Whittier, CA to Daniel and Lorraine Scheinost. He grew up in the Artesia area and attended Excelsior High School. He met and married his best friend Rose in 1958. They were blessed with 3 daughters who were his pride and joy. Richard lived for his family. He was the most dedicated, supportive, loyal and loving husband and father a family could be blessed with. Richard excelled in every sport he played. Whether it was baseball, golf, bowling, hunting or cards, but it was his knack, knowledge and love for fishing that surpassed all others. The family moved to Chino in 1972 where he lived until 2004 when he decided to retire and they moved to Shafter, CA by his daughter Kelly and her family. As he stepped through heaven’s gate on April 4th his Dad was waiting with a fishing pole and his Mother with open arms, and his longtime friends were waiting for the 4th player at the card table. His love and passion for family, the outdoors, sports and life will be so greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Rose and daughters Carrie of Placentia (John), Lori of Ontario (Mark), Kelly of Shafter (Johnny) and 4 grandchildren Dustin, Kelly, Richard and Jake. 4 great grandchildren Katelyn, Emily, Jesse and Nicole. His sister Marilyn of Yerington, NV and many nieces and nephews.

Lori, so sorry for your loss, boy I know exactly what you are going through.. having lost my mother less than a year ago, it is one of the most intense and sad times in our lives, but as the bible states, we must accept this passing just as we accept the changes of the seasons, and knowing that he goes to a better place where love and happiness abounds. Take comfort in knowing that you and your sisters were the pride and joy of his life, and as I have known you for many years, he raised a wonderful, gifted woman with a great work ethic and a great teacher of junior techs. You excel in your career and that is your father's legacy of greatness for the things you and he loved as stated above.
My best wishes for you and your family during this time of sorrow..
Dee Quinonez, your work family!
