February 18, 2019 at Majestic Oaks Nursing Home at John Knox Orange City, Florida. while there, she
touched many lives and was loved by all who met her. Candida was born November 20, 1930 in
Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, to the late Pastor Luis and Aurelia Davila. She relocated to Long Island,
New York in the 60's where she worked in Nursing taking care of developmental challenged children at
Suffolk State Hospital Long Island, New York, after leaving there she went into private duty nursing
and was loved by the patients she came in contact for her loving and caring ways. She professed her
life to Christ loved to read her bible, praying for others, spending time with family, laughing and
always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted, mother, and friend,
always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.” Candida will be forever remembered by
her sons, Thomas Zayas and Albert L.Zayas; numerous grandchildren 6, great-grand children 3, and
host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and dear friends.
“Everyone who drinks of this
water will be thirsty again;
but whoever drinks
of the water that I will give him will
shall never thirst;
but the water that I will give him
will become in him a well of water
springing up to eternal life.”
John 4:13-14
The family invites all Candida's friends to come and celebrate her life with them.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held on Saturday 23, 2019 at 5:00PM
