DeBary, FL, age 96, formerly of Bay City and Yuma, AZ went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2018. Edward was born to the late Edward and Elizabeth Kajeske Nusselt on April, 22, 1922 in Bay City. He leaves behind his two children, Linda Weiler of DeBary, FL and John (Mary Kay) Nusselt of Oxford, MI; grandchildren, Eric (Shannon) Wurfel, Michael Weiler and Sarah (Brian) Gasser; great-grandchildren, Reese, Luke & Ella. He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, Virginia Keipert and Barbara (Wayne) Albertson-Boomer all of Bay City, MI; several nieces, nephews and good friend Charles Confer. Edward was predeceased by his wife Elaine; twin brother Frederick Nusselt, son-in-law Gene Weiler, brothers in law, James (Ethel) Albertson and Jack Keipert; sister in law Marjorie (Fritz) Burgher. Ed and Elaine retired to Yuma, AZ in 1991, where they lived for 17 years before moving to Debary, FL. Ed enjoyed skeet shooting, camping, traveling and was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed spending his retirement carving beautiful ducks. Ed was a proud member of the US Navy during WWII and served aboard the USS Lexington.
A memorial service will be held Saturday July 7th 11 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Lake Mary, FL. There will also be a memorial service with committal July 21, 11 AM at Floral Gardens Cemetery, 2215 West Cass Avenue Road, Bay City, MI 48708. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 780 North Sun Drive, Lake Mary, FL 32746.
