Marta was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on July 8, 1949 to Leonardo and Rosa Soto. As a young girl, her family moved to Brooklyn, New York. Marta graduated from Central Commercial High School in June, 1967. Marta met her husband, Jose Daniel Suero, at Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal (Summit Street). They married on August 5, 1967 and had two sons, Jose Daniel Jr. and Bernardo. Marta and her family moved to Ellenville, NY in 1975. They attended and were active members of Hosanna Assembly Church. It was there that Marta began serving as a Missionettes leader, the ministry that she would dedicate nearly 40 years of her life to. In the summer of 1983 the family moved to Middletown, NY where they attended Trinity Assembly of God. Marta continued to serve in the Missionettes (Girls Ministries) program and became the New York District Representative. Her heart was to disciple young girls to a relationship with Jesus Christ and for them to realize their potential in the kingdom of God. It brought her so much joy to know that girls were walking in the Truth, serving the Lord, and on the path to becoming mature and godly women. In 2001 Marta and Danny moved and retired to Deltona, Florida. They attended Trinity Church and met wonderful friends. Marta never stopped serving the Lord or ministering to others. She touched the lives of all generations from young girls to seniors. Her church family and so many others loved her and cared for her as she faced her health issues. It was the prayers of her family and friends that strengthened her until she went to be with the Lord on Feb 6, 2019. Marta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved God and her family with all of her heart. Near or far she found ways to show love to her family. Some of her favorite were mailing cards, pictures, devotionals, and thoughtful notes. She even learned how to text and used social media so she can touch family. She had a way of making every family member feel loved, thought of, and special. She was passionate about everything she did from loving her family, mentoring young girls, preaching the Word of God, serving in her church, and having fun. She touched the lives of so many with her Godly wisdom and encouraging words. She boldly honored any opportunity to share God’s Word, His love, and His faithfulness with a mission to grow God’s Kingdom. She was His humble servant and always gave God all the glory. Marta had an infectious personality full of laughter and joy. The Joy of the Lord was her strength in every situation. When she laughed you couldn’t help but laugh along with her. Some of her favorite moments were time spent with family. She loved going to the beach, playing cards and games, and just sitting around the table. She loved to tell stories about her family and share picture after picture after picture of them. She loved life and doing life with everyone. She was loved deeply and will be missed terribly. Left to cherish and continue her legacy are her husband, Jose Daniel; children, Jose Daniel Jrand his wife Margie, Bernardo and his wife Stefenie; grandchildren, Brittany, Aubrey, Isabel, Emily, Gabrielle, Antonio, Marissa, and Manuel; great grandson, Aiden; sister, Ana Lopez; brothers, Leonard, Norberto, David, Daniel, and Ruben; 11 nieces and nephews. The Suero family would like to thank everyone from the bottom of their hearts for the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this difficult time.

Marta had been the light for me while I was in a very dark place. About 8 years ago I got myself into a lot of trouble and felt shame and guilt, I felt alone and afraid. God had put it on her heart to send me devotionals and cards to remind me of Gods love and grace and mercy. Even though I hadn’t had much contact with here previously, she was a consistent source of Gods love and encouragement for me during this hard time. She had faithfully sent me these devotionals for the past 8 years consistently, and I am forever grateful for her. I received my last one about a month ago and I was happy to receive it. I was saddened to hear of her passing but I know she is at peace with her Heavenly Father. I feel it in my heart to pass on the love she showed me, to someone else. I admire her heart, she was truly Gods servant and a blessing to me and I will do my best to do the same for others.

God bless the family and I will continue to pray for you all.
Bianca

Today was one of the hardest days I've experienced. Its almost as if it's not real. What I wouldn't give to hear you call me your bumbina one last time. Forever will I cherish the memories I have of the time spent together and making sure that I hold the childhood bible you sent to aiden near and dear and as I read it to him as it was read to me when I was young, that your laughter and love fill the room as it did wherever you went. I love you grandma and I will make you proud.

We first met Marta when she came to Highest Praise Family Church we pastored to teach our then called "Missionettes" now Girls Club teachers the leadership courses. Of course we loved her at first sight and remained friends as we had mutual friends, Joe and Carmen Nieves. In the last couple years Marta began to help us with Adult Ministries and was such an asset at our Conference held at Trinity and her local church group.

If Heaven could become better, it did when Marta stepped inside the gates. We will greatly miss her, but know she is rejoicing as she awaits our arrival on that glad reunion day.

Our prayers are with the family for peace and comfort during this very difficult time.
Love,
Pastors Ken & Susan Pippin

Martita (as I called her)was so Dear to me. Her positive attitude, great sense of humor & laughter just brightened wherever she was. When she had computer problems she’d call me & I’d run over to help so that she could write her devotionals and emails to friends & family. I’m no computer expert, but for some reason she thought I was & God always allowed me to get her computer issues fixed. Like the one time she had switched her WiFi to the off position 😊. All I did was switch it back on. We laughed so hard and it gave me an opportunity to share a moment with her. I’ll miss her so much!!! Till we meet again my friend- love you always ❤️

My Dear Childhood Friend Martha, though I’m so sad to hear of your passing from earth to be with our Lord, I’m not surprise to hear that you brought so much joy to so many along the way. My memories are always filled with genuine conversations that always ended in words of hope and yes some way, some how with laughter. Louie & I always cherish the times we shared with you and Danny in Brooklyn and then upstate. Sweet Martha now for you no more sorrow, no more pain. Till we meet again Rest In Peace.
I love you,

My dear sweet friend just days ago we spent the day together, there are no words to say how I feel. It was such a great day with you and Danny, we talked about you coming to NY for a visit after July when you would be off restrictions. Laughed sharing those crazy memories of our “ One for all & All for One trips.
So many memories that I will treasure for a lifetime, missing you always.
But one thing we can take solace in; is the fact that you are healed in the presence of our Heavenly Father.
Until we meet again my friend,
Love you
