Warren E. Steup
November 1, 1921 – May 3, 2019
Warren Steup is a World War II Veteran Warren was in Normandy, France during the invasion, we know as D-day. Approximately 4000 men were killed that day. Warren convoyed up to Bastogne, Belgium to back up our troops during the Battle of the Bulge. Warren served in Mannheim, Germany. Then was in La Harve, France, where he and the troops were deported home to Boston on a liberty ship. A train took them to Fort Monmouth, New Jersey where he received an honorable discharge. Warren was married to his beautiful wife on October 30, 1949. The first home Warren built for him and his wife Helen. Warren and Helen had three children; he had two boys and one girl. He has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Warren is man of many talents. He is a poet, storyteller, writer, and author, woodworker and a volunteer. He has worked or volunteered in activities for 27 years. Even here at Debary Health & Rehab, formerly known as Debary Manor. Warren also won an award from Florida Health care Activity Professionals for being the oldest paid activity associate in Florida.
