Our thoughts are with Barrie's family at this hard time.

I am so so sorry for her family and friends. I will take her with me forever. Her amazing laugh, incredible sense of style and ability to make you feel at ease no matter what was happening. You could always count on her to tell a story and break the ice. Like the one about the traveling bouger. Then everyone would laugh. Tension gone. 
She will be greatly missed. Even though we had not seen each other in many years I have always considered her a friend. She was godmother to my eldest child, that makes her family too. Rest in peace Barrie. ??

Barrie was one of my best friends in junior high.  I will never forget the Laverne and Shirley skit we did on the intercom at Walker Junior High.  My good thoughts headed your way, Robert. I hope your loving memories will ease your pain.

Barry was my best friend at Walker Jr. High...she walked up to me on the first day of school and asked if she could sit with me at lunch in the cafeteria and we became instant friends.  She was in another school district and only went to Walker because her mom taught there so we were separated in high school and eventually lost touch.  She was so special...always mischievous and laughing.  She will be truly missed. I am so sorry for your loss.  I will try to copy and paste a photo I have of her from 7th grade.

Spending my childhoold growing up on Appleton Avenue with Barrie and her brother Brett has been a lifetime memory often reflected on in my adult years. Barrie was spontaneous, bright eyed, fearless and fun loving. My sincere condolences to Brett, her husband Bob and their children.

Barrie and her brother, Brett, lived across the street from my family for many years.  I babysat for both of them over a period of years.  Barrie was in my brother Bob's class.  Barrie had a great deal of spunk and was always recognizable with her wonderful red hair.  Her mother was a truly exceptional person and was devoted to her children and grandchildren.  My thoughts and prayers are with Brett and Barrie's children and husband.  Betty Bourg

I knew Barrie and her brother, Brett, from babyhood to adulthood.  She was a beautiful redheaded girl who was creative and always active and involved with the Appleton Avenue bunch when children and dogs could run freely...even after dark.  She was like a sister to my daughters Kate and Michelle.  The memories are sweet and good.  May God rest her soul.  Regina Hall
