OBITUARY

Lore Rosa Kern

November 24, 1929July 19, 2020

On Sunday, July 19, 2020, Lore Kern joined her husband, Gerhard Kern, in heaven to dance with him again. She was 90, born November 24, 1929 in Forchtenberg, Germany.

A Cinnaminson, N.J. resident for more than 50 years, she recently relocated to Leesburg, Florida, to be close to her family, which they will always cherish.

Known as “Oma” (German for grandma) to her family, she will be remembered in the recipes, gardening tips, and German traditions she taught us. She enjoyed time spent with family in the Poconos and Ocean City, N.J. Most recently she loved meeting and watching her great-grandson grow. And, she always ensured her family was happy, healthy, and safe.

She is survived by her brother, Ewald Haeusser (Great Bend, Pa.), sister, Meta Rieger (Leinfelden-Echterdingen (Stuttgart), Germany), son, Gary and daughter-in-law (and in-life), Donna (Passione) Kern (Leesburg, Fla.), granddaughter, Laura Kern and husband Matt Scott (Orlando, Fla.), great-grandson, Jaxon Kern Scott, and many extended family and friends.

She will be laid to rest in Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, N.J. next to her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lore’s name may be made to the American Stroke Association (https://www.stroke.org/).

Arrangements entrusted to Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home at Chapel Hill. 2424 Harrell Rd. Orlando, Florida 32807. 407-671-3919

It was a privilege to get to know one of Ewalds loving sisters. I found Lore to be a great friend to me, always willing to go out to lunch, while we were at Crane Lakes, and nice to chat with on the phone. Rest In Peace my friend. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Tracy and I are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Many fond memories growing up of both of your parents. May God bless your mom and your entire family.

Liebe Tante Lore
50 years ago I met you and Onkel Gerhard for the first time when you picked us up at JFK in a Dodge as big as a truck (at least to the small boy I was) and a heavy thunderstorm raged for the first three days nonstop...and I felt immediately at home in Cinnaminson on Hartford Drive.
Danke für Alles
Ruhe in Frieden

We will miss this loving Mom. She was very loved by all. Very generous and caring. Mom may not be here anymore but I will always hold her close in my heart. I know she is with Opa and they are happy to be together again in heaven.
