ORLEANS – Patricia (Vaughan) Dunn, 81, of Orleans, formerly of Milton and Dorchester, passed away on July 8 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Keane) Vaughan. She leaves behind her husband, George Dunn Jr. Pat was born and educated in Dorchester, and had a career as a school teacher in the Boston school system. Pat was very active as a volunteer and a member of local organizations including St. Joan of Arc Thrift Shop, Church Guild, Orleans Yacht Club, and Nauset Newcomers. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and neighbors who enjoyed her company and her humor. Besides her husband George Jr., she is survived by her two sons; Brian and his wife Maureen, of Plymouth, MA and Patrick and his wife Karen of Novi, MI; seven grandchildren; brother, John Vaughan of Orleans, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 3p-7p on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday July 12 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Orleans. Burial will be private and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to: Orleans Council on Aging, 150 Rock Harbor Rd., Orleans, MA 02653 or a charity of one’s choice.

I have lovely memories of patsy when I visited Boston and the cape in 1989. Know she was one of mums favourite relatives -- real sparky and a treat to be around- my mother Myra so fond of her -- kindest regards from David Andrea and family in Dublin
