Meeting Vida was one of the best parts of being a Nauset Neighbors volunteer. Every time I drove her to an appointment, I learned something new--about her, about Eastham, about life. I was sorry when Covid put an end to our times together, but hoped to see her again. I will miss her. My condolences to her family and all who loved and admired her.

Every time we pass one of the many flower islands in Eastham, we think of Vida. When we hear the birds singing, we think of Vida, knowing how much she loved her feathered friends that came to her many feeders.
We cherish the memory of our dear friend. She was a great inspiration, big-hearted and courageous. Vida will live on in our hearts forever. Dear friend, rest in peace with your beloved husband Dan.

Miss Vida was on our Reassurance program at the Police Department. She would call in daily and through the years she became a dear friend to me. We spoke often and shared so much with one another. This picture is a year ago when we visited her and I introduced her to my family in person, and my puppy! She was the strongest woman I know and she was all around amazing! She for years missed her husband and spoke of him so often. I know that they have been reunited and that is what she wanted so much! She was a fighter but she is home now and free! I will forever love Vida and I am so blessed to have been able to tell her how much she meant to me! Rest well Miss Vida I will always keep you in my heart - Kerianne
