Elizabeth D. Kelly

October 9, 1924 – March 11, 2016

Elizabeth D. Kelly, 91, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her home in Bishops Glen, Holly Hill, FL under the care of hospice.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Raymond, her son, John, and her grandsons, Johnny and Jonathon. She was a devoted mother of 4, grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 4.

Elizabeth received her Nursing Degree from Misericordia Hospital in New York City in May, 1951 where she received 1st prize for being the “Ideal Misericordia Nurse”.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church for over 25 years and volunteered her time with Halifax Urban Ministries. Elizabeth had a passion for reading and learning. She also enjoyed travel, politics and crocheting.

She was survived by her daughter Mary Miller(Sandy) of Ormond Beach, her son Raymond Kelly(Carmela) of Daytona Beach, and her daughter Kathleen Fischer of Daytona Beach. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory 11 grandchildren, Brian(Ashley), Dan(Erin), Michael(Allison), Jeremy(Kara), Joseph(Carol), Lauren(Gianfranco), Meghan, Sarah, Kevin, Amanda and Kathleen as well as 4 great-grandchildren, Christian, Mia, Mattison and Sydney.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Halifax Urban Ministires or Prince of Peace Social Services.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL.
