We just heard the news and were very shocked and extremely saddened. Uncle Ralph always held a special place in my heart. I remember him taking me on a late night call with him, he called me his apprentice and even paid me. I remember him with a smile on his face and joy in his heart. I cant imagine the whole he has left in the hearts of his loving family. He will always be cherished. We have you all in our prayers as you mourn his passing. May the wonderful memories you cherish help you through. Love Lindi and Ken Palk.

Lynne, we do want to extend our condolences to you and your family. We always enjoyed Ralph and his matter of fact way he “nurtured” our furnace along, and then , in his lawn bowling days in Stouffville. He was so good at bowling but that didn’t take away his desire to help the club along with his nightly 50:50 draws to raise money for the club. Ralph had a great sense of humour and we were so sorry to hear of his sudden passing. May you know the peace of the Lord as you pass through this valley, and know old friends are praying for you and yours. Sincerely and with love, Bill and Judy McKnight

So very saddened to hear of Ralph’s passing. I remember Ralph helping me when I first joined the Ballantrae Lions. We had a lot of fun running the bar, he was a wonderful friend. I have thought of him often and have missed both of you very much. Offering my prayers to you Lynne and your family at this time.

Uncle Ralph was very strict when we were growing up and it took many years before we all realized that was because he loved us and wanted they very best for all of us. I will never forget him and will miss him very much. I have many wonderful memories to remember him.

Dad touched a lot of people, whether it was through his business as an Oil Burner technician, the Lions Club (which was a love of his for over 40 years), or his many charitable works. He could be a curmudgeon and stubborn, but was always putting other people first, and would always give the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He adored his family and he was taken from us too soon. He has left a big hole in our lives, and our family appreciates everyone's thoughts, condolences and especially the stories of how he touched your lives. Leave it to him to make us work around Covid....but we will prevail with a Celebration of his life in the summer, date to be announced. Thank you again...his heartbroken family.
