Bunny spent her entire working life with Bell, dedicating over 41 years of service to the PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) answering calls for all members of Government from PM John Diefenbaker all the way to PM Brian Mulroney.
In her youth, Bunny spent many a season going to see the Ottawa Rough Riders with her father. She continued the tradition with her late husband Cyril (Cy) for over 40 years, sitting prominently on the 50 yard line. You could often catch her yelling at the players in person or in front of her TV at home during away games.
Bunny was an avid 5 pin bowler for many years also and looked forward to her Thursday nights in the Carling Avenue Alley above the plaza.
She read several newspapers daily, oddly enough from back to the front and followed politics constantly.
A devout Catholic, she attended The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish her entire adult life. When not able to be there in person, she would tune into a noon mass on her TV.
We would like to thank the Drs at the General Hospital and Social Worker Anne Marie for their wonderful care of Mom. The care continued briefly at the Alta Vista Manor as they all ensured Mom was comfortable right up until the end.
Bunny leaves behind her children, Stephen (Francine Landry), Jeffrey (Melinda; Stefanie & Jamie Burger and children Lilith and Gwen, and Alexandra), Julie O’Connor (Jim; Christina, Kelsey & Tyler Taylor and their child Carson, and Kevin) and Christopher (Kendra Baynham, Angus), her sister-in-law, Winnie Marcellus, as well as three nieces and a nephew.
