With my utmost sympathy to you Teri and to all your family.
God has promised everlasting life to everyone who believes in Him. Rest easy knowing that your mother’s spirit and soul are only a blink of an eye away in the arms of Jesus. The world has become a lovelier place because your mother has touched It with warmth and goodness and grace.
My prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

Lots of love
Carlos

Teri so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. To me Rita was a loving, caring person. Rita always welcomed me in to her home many times and treated me with respect and so much love. To me she was like a second mom. My deepest condolences to the family. I will miss her always. Rest In Peace Rita.

Love always Brenda - BooBoo

You’ve always been in my life. I can still remember being little and going to sit on your knee because that meant that you’d play with my hair – then you’d say that I had a nice long pony-tail which inevitably ended-up with you asking if I knew what was under a pony’s tail. The biggest highlight of all family get togethers - your stories of the farm, recounting all tales that involved extended family that we never knew and getting the biggest kick from scaring the crap out of us with your ghost stories that we all couldn’t get enough of as we huddled around you into the wee hours of the night. When I did finally sneak off to find a place to sleep, spooked out of my mind, I’d wake up at 3am to you knitting and watching Elvira movies that you roped Danny into loving too. Now, every time I hear ‘Sugar Pie Honey Bunch’, I will tell Cecilia ‘that’s Aunt Rita’s song ‘ and I’ll forever remember you standing up from sitting cross-legged on your dining room chair, motioning with your arms while making your voice as deep as possible singing the opening lyrics to “House of the Rising Sun” when it comes on the radio because today, the world is definitely a “Whiter Shade of Pale” without you.

You were a born storyteller. You were real. You are and always were, an original and I am grateful you were in my life because man, did we love you.

Your loving niece,
Ollie Dolly

The pic I chose was from three years ago - Labour Day weekend. I believe Rita asked Pat about her 'love-life' and the giggles began...

My fondest memories will always be the big birthday get together at Uncle Kevin's, when we all sat around the living room listening to stories from when you were all growing up. I will also never forget going to your house as a child and sitting in the kitchen with so much family packed in to the one room. You are missed Aunt Rita. Love always, Shawna-Wanna.
