I was so very sad to read about the passing of Sue and Tom.   The few times I talked with them, I truly enjoyed.  They were 2 of the nicest people i have met in my life time...

The world is a smaller place now but heaven is brighter. Grandpa was the keystone of this family for many many years. I have never known a man who dedicated his life to his family more. From working 3 jobs to make ends meet to traveling to watch his children grow in the things they were passionate about. He passed these traits onto his children and inturn they have been passed onto us. Two thousands words are not enough to describe how amazing of a man grandpa was even with his faults hell a novel wouldn't be enough space. He always made all of us grandchildren feel loved no matter our ages he loved us all equally. It will be hard to never be called Igor stratapoochkie again and never know where that man got my nickname from ... I asked before and neither did he... I take solice in the fact that grandpa and grandma are together again. I love you both so very much and we will see you again across that silvery brook. 

What can I say about pop that hasn't already been said I loved him with all my heart he was my pop he welcomed me into the family 42 yrs ago he and mom I always felt loved and sheltered by these two wonderful people pop always called me fat fawfee I don't know why but till the day I die I will miss being called that but only by pop I always heard him say I love you fawfee you and Beth are my favorite daughter in laws he never favored one over the other when he and Mark would talk he asked about everyone of our kids and all of our grandbabies great and great great he did have nicknames for everyone I am glad that he is with the love of his life now he didn't want to be here without mom I want to thank Mark for putting on the pictures of all the grandkids mom and pop would have approved I love you pop and will miss you forever your fawfee

Well Pop this was a hard day for me. I remember that day we talked about mom and what your decision would be if she passed first . It's hard too believe you are both gone in such a short time.  I will miss you both so much, but I know in my heart you are were you want to be.  I will miss are Sunday morning talks from politics, sports, news and the most important thing family.  You wanted a run down on each one. That made me so proud to be your son. You raised us to stand up and be proud of are self's which we did.....The first time I saw you cry was the day I left for basic training....  You taught me how to play sports and did not push me to hard....lol. I enjoyed every moment. Growing up watching you play was my motivation, seeing how you enjoyed the game and friendships you made.... I know we butted heads a few times but always got over them....The number one thing you taught me was take care of your family.  Growing up you were gone a lot and it took time to understand but you were taking care of your family.  Working three jobs or playing in high stake stakes baseball or basketball tournaments. You were taking care of us.... My brother was right when he made the comment we were all taken care for at Christmas, vacations, baseball games...lol, that was dad. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Always asking how they were doing....The day  I told you I was getting married and you just looked at me and said sure, I don't think you thought I do it. But the last time we talked you told me how proud you were of the marriage Kathy and I had.  You always made her feel so proud to be part of the family and your friendship you shared....It hard for me to say goodbye, so I'm not it's just going to be awhile before I talk with you again. I will see both of you again but for now I will keep doing what you taught me, take care of my family. See you Pop and give Mom and Heather a kiss. High five Darrin. Love you and will miss you.

Dad- I’m glad you are with mom again... I can’t believe I lost both of you in such a short time.. as a son I’m very proud of what you accomplished in your life .. you taught me so much about life ... you worked so hard for us so we would be comfortable growing up ... I know you did what you new what was best for us . Looking back you were right ... growing up was a treat.. we always had nice things....there were times you were tough on us but with that said you taught me life isn’t easy and I passed that on to my kids.I’m proud to be your son .. I love you I’ll miss you and give mom a big hug for me... we will all be together someday I believe that... Rest In Peace you deserve it ..

Dad- I still can’t believe you are gone.  When mom died a month ago, you were my anchor, I still had you, which meant I still had her too.  I miss waking you up in the morning and getting your coffee ready for you.  I miss your high fives when I walked by your chair.  I miss you telling me “thank you for another good day”.  I watched more college basketball with you during March Madness than I have ever watched in my entire life.  Logan’s baseball games and Aiden’s track meets won’t be the same without you there cheering them on and hearing you tell each of them how proud you were of them.  I’ll miss the delight in your eyes and the smile on your face when Elliott burst into the room.  I just miss having you here.  I know you are at peace now and you are with mom.  Thank you for the good days.  I love you.

Grandpa always said he didn’t want to be on earth without grandma, he made it one month and five days. They were married for almost 69 years.  I also got to spend the last months of his life with him, just like grandma. I will miss his dad jokes (I swear he invented them, his favorite was to say when you walked into a room - up doc and you’d say what’s up doc? His response was - are you bugs bunny?). Always in his flannel shirt, blue jeans and slippers with a cup of coffee and a sugar cookie (the man had a sweet tooth like no other I’ve ever seen). He loved his vodka tonics with a lime and telling stories. He had a story for everything. He always made a point to go to his kids, grandkids and great grandkids sporting events whenever he could. He had a nickname for everyone. I will always miss oseeing his smile when I walk in the doior and hearing - it’s Sarah Bear. He taught us to work hard and provide for the family, but to also spend time with the family and enjoy the moments. I know he and grandma are together again watching over us and resting easy now.

Uncle Tom,  you were always an important part of dad's family.  I loved how you loved Aunt Sue.  Give my love to everyone

Tom and Sue are also survived by their grandchildren, Patrick (Tina), Sarah (Luke), Chris (Sarah), Alaina (Scott), Evan and Samantha (Alan); and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
